Marmot

Hi.

I have been buying Marmot products for many years and have raved about the quality and materials. My wife and I bought light rain jackets, at different times and roughly three or four years ago.

They are marked on the lower sleeve as Gore Tex. My wife's jacket began leaking within the first couple of years to the point it provided next to no protection from rain.

I have rarely worn my jacket in inclement weather until recently, noticing that it appeared to be letting some water in. Yesterday I was out in the rain walking my dog and my jacket was soaked through, offering next to no protection from the weather. Furthermore the velcro on the sleeves of my jacket has lost it catch, no longer holding the sleeve ends secure.

These jackets have not been abused in any way, but worn as every day clothing, and only on occasion.

We have approached the vendor about our issue but to no avail, therefore this email to you.

At the price of these items I would think they should stand up better than they have, or at least perform as they should. We would request these items be repaired or replaced as they clearly appear to be substandard for the Marmot brand.

I hope this email finds you well. I am reaching out regarding a concern I have with a rain jacket I purchased from Marmot a few years ago.

I have been a satisfied customer of your brand for some time, but unfortunately, the rain jacket I purchased has experienced significant deterioration in its inner lining.

The inner lining of the jacket, which I expected to be durable, is now peeling and detaching from the jacket itself. As a consumer who values quality and reliability, I am disappointed that this issue has occurred, especially given the premium price point of Marmot products.

I am writing to inquire about your company's quality policies and warranty coverage. Could you please provide me with information on whether this issue falls under warranty and if a replacement or repair is possible? Additionally, I would appreciate any suggestions or advice you may have regarding the care and maintenance of Marmot jackets to prevent similar issues in the future.

I have attached photos of the jacket to this email to provide visual reference for the damage.
